Questionnaire
Why have we designed this questionnaire?
We hope to establish a support network, drawing on the experience of people from a medical background as well as the personal testimonies and input from people living with a bleeding disorder. The intention is to gather and include as much factual data as possible to reinforce the need for better sexual health and well-being awareness education.
Many of us have, at some point in our lives, been faced with a situation which potentially could have been prevented if access to a more open and informed care pathway had been available.
We believe that in too many cases the current approach to support and care for people with bleeding disorders in the United Kingdom can be overly focused on treating the bleeding disorder in isolation, rather than from treating a whole individual. The comprehensive care model, although innovative when introduced, now needs to evolve and adapt to integrate more effectively with other specialist disciplines and primary care services.
The comprehensive care model, although innovative when introduced, now needs to evolve and adapt to integrate more effectively with other specialist disciplines and primary care services. A global perspective of experience and best practice should take an holistic view which meets the medical, psychological and social needs of the individual.
By using a biosocialpsycho approach to care, benefits include, improved quality of care, harm reduction and lower costs for treatment.
With the assistance of people living here in the UK as well as other countries. We hope to draw on as wider a spectrum of patient input as possible. This will enable us to engage with healthcare providers globally. Highlighting the importance of access to better information, education, risk prevention and all-inclusive care.
