Haemophilia & the Contaminated Blood Scandal
Haemophilia & the Contaminated Blood Scandal
In order for every civilised society to move forward they must never forget the past. This could not be more significant to the global bleeding disorder community who almost lost an entire generation through the use of contaminated blood products.
In 2015, I put together the information contained within this folder as my contribution to the campaign group, Tainted Blood, “Looking Back” series.
The joint knowledge obtained from years of researching used to create the groups timeline, which is accessible via their website, www.taintedblood.info has always been an essential resource and aid in the continuing fight for justice. Along with events, key dates, politicians, medical and research documentation. I also wanted to recognise some of the many inspirational people I have had the honour to meet across the years of campaigning.
In memory of all my friends.
I hope this will also serve as a reminder to others, highlighting how a small vulnerable group of disabled people have been so cruelly treated by those who inflicted these death sentences as well as compounding the suffering for more than forty years.
