HIV / AIDS – Haemophiliacs & Medical Papers
HIV / AIDS Haemophiliacs & Medical Trials
The haemophilia community has long been recognised as the “canaries” of the blood world.
If something nasty / dangerous / new was thought to be in the blood supply, scientists and haematologists would implement data gathering exercises.
Research was undertaken without consent, without the patient having any knowledge of the specific research they had been enrolled in. Patients or parents were not provided with the opportunity to make an informed choice, opting in or out. Ethical protocols appear to be breached as a matter of routine when using haemophiliacs to obtain data.
The AIDS crisis caused thousands of haemophiliacs deaths as a direct result of the contaminated blood supply, and a refusal by product manufacturers and governments alike to address the lack of viral research obtained. This mass extinction continued with almost 100% of the United Kingdoms haemophiliacs being infected with multiple Hepatitis viruses, genotypes and various unnatural strains.
From Hepatitis C infections, thousands more perished whilst medical professionals continue with their research, consensual and by other means.
