Healthcare for men who have sex with men (MSM) – Dr Vincent Cornelisse

 

Dr Vincent Cornelisse is a general practitioner and registrar in sexual health medicine at Prahran Market Clinic, Melbourne. He is passionate about providing comprehensive healthcare for members of the gender and sexuality diverse community. His clinical interests include HIV, hepatitis B and C, the provision of post-exposure and pre-exposure HIV prophylaxis (PEP and PrEP), sexual health and transgender medicine.

When Dr Cornelisse is not at the clinic, he works on his PhD at the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre. His research focuses on sexual health epidemiology, particularly the transmission patterns of gonorrhoea amongst men who have sex with men, in order to develop new public health interventions to curb the gonorrhoea transmission rate.

Dr Cornelisse gives these talks in the hope that LGBTI people will have better healthcare experiences.
