Remembering Steve Dymond
DEATH OF STEVE DYMOND
We are deeply saddened to have to tell you that Su Gorman’s husband, Steve Dymond, passed away in the early hours of this morning. Su wanted you all to know.
Although Steve had responded well to the new treatment, and had ‘cleared’ the Hep C virus, his liver was very badly damaged, and over recent months his health had deteriorated, with several hospital visits. He was admitted to hospital again on Friday, and died with Su by his side, as she has been ever since they met many years ago, whilst at university.
Steve will be remembered for his unswerving commitment to the campaign, and in fact he mentioned it to Su shortly before he died. Along with Su, he did a great deal of press work, and appeared on the Victoria Derbyshire show on the morning of the inquiry opening. Most of you will remember the Kent on Sunday articles, many of which he helped to write.
Our thoughts are with Su at this awful time. We will let you know funeral arrangements as soon as we hear anything.
Rest in Peace, Steve.
