Mr World was held in Southport during the summer of 2016 and was broadcast in the UK for the first time over Christmas and New Year.
The competition saw 50 contestants from all over the world descend on the coastal town fighting it out over two weeks. They competed against each other in a series of physical challenges and events to find a winner of the coveted Mr World title. .
Representatives from England, Scotland and Wales lead the way and performed outstandingly well throughout — with Mr Scotland coming in the top 10 and England placing fourth.

Since Mr Scotland, Tristan Cameron-Harper, claimed the extreme sports title at Mr World he has decided to retire full time from being a professional Ice Hockey Player after 7 years and has been very busy doing a lot of exploring in the Scottish Highlands.
Tristan’s ultimate goal now is to become a full time Mountaineer planning to attempt some extreme expeditions around the world with the ultimate goal of summiting Everest in the coming years.
“I have been focusing on training as much as l can in all types of weathers in the Highlands, which can be a very tough place mentally and physically,” he told us.
“I have been doing modeling; working on my blog as much as l can and also working on some personal projects that could eventually turn into some amazing reality TV shows. l’m very focused on staying fit, hitting the gym, yoga & doing a lot of meditation which is having amazing effects all round.”
When ready, Tristan will be looking for sponsors to be involved with summiting some extreme peaks throughout the world.

The Welsh representative, Joe Street, has been collaborating with British director Charlie Steeds on two separate feature length films Escape from Cannibal Farm and The House of Violent Desire, will be shot across Western Europe this coming February.
Away from his acting, Joe has also recently taken time out to set up private fun casino hire company Blackjack in the Buff. Having previously spent a number of years working at his local casino in Swansea, the idea of using topless blackjack dealers at his events is said to have been inspired by the other contestants at the Mister Wales final and Mr World event last year.
Joe has made a handful of media appearances as Mr Wales on Welsh television and radio and attributes it all to a friend of his who started it all off by jokingly posting the Mister Wales application form on his Facebook wall.
“It seems like an eternity ago, what with all that has happened since,” he explained. “That decision to enter Mr Wales has completely changed my life. Going from working nights in the casino to owning my own business, appearing on stage and getting cast in a movie. This has been an absolute whirlwind.”
Adding: “I owe a lot to the Miss Wales organisation. I hope they realise just how grateful I am for what they’ve done for me.”

And finally, Mr England, Christopher Bramell, claimed the sports winner title at Mr World and has continued down the fitness path by qualifying as a personal trainer and is now looking at setting up his own PT business.
Not content with representing England just once at an international event, Chris travelled to China to compete as Mr England one more time in one of the longest running male model competitions, Manhunt International. Chris placed third at Manhunt which is the highest position a representative from the UK has placed since the competition started.
Chris continues to model for various companies in the UK and Sri Lanka with a view to creating his own fashion label at some point in the future. Chris was spotted for the Mr England competition while working in his local supermarket in Liverpool and originally had reservations about taking part but has his friends and family to thank for pushing him in to taking the part.
“This last year was one of the best years I have lived so far. Being spotted in work for Mr Liverpool and going on to place where I have, for me these are unbelievable achievements.
“My modelling career has been fantastic and has expanded internationally. As my heart lies in the fitness industry I’m using my personal trainer qualification combined with my modelling on designing my own fitness and sports brand and aiming to coach and help people gain and hit their life time achievements. I’ve also got a YouTube channel set up where you can follow along with my gym routines and see exactly how I prepared to look in top condition for the competitions.
“All of this is because I took a chance. You have to believe to achieve.”

What is Mr World?
In a sentence, Mr World is “The Search for the World’s Most Desirable Man.”
Unlike conventional Male “Beauty Pageants”, Mr World is a 2-3 week competition designed to test the candidates in a variety of ways through a series of challenge events, interviews and a final stage show. These challenges test every aspect deemed necessary to be “The World’s Most Desirable Man.” A global event, each candidate represents a single nation, with no two contestants representing the same territory.
The whole competition is filmed, with a live show broadcast followed by an 90 minute television edit.
FIVE challenge events take place: Fashion & Style, the Extreme Challenge, the Multi-Media Award, the Sports Challenge & the Talent Competition. Each one of these Challenges has a winner, who takes his place in the Final TOP TEN of the competition. There are also collective points earned through the team based elements of the challenges, with the contestants split into four teams throughout the event.
FIVE places remain for the other contestants, whose performances over the challenges, their behaviour during the competition as well as their interviews with the judges will determine who takes their place in the TOP TEN.
The Winner is then selected by the panel of judges who weigh up the performances of each candidate before hearing from them on stage as to why they want to win Mr World, and what it would mean to them.
To Win Mr World you must be a well rounded individual with good looks, physical strength, charisma, charm, and a strong personality. We are looking for the full package, desirable in every sense.
How do I enter Mr World?
To enter Mr World, you must first win an officially licensed National Mr World competition in your home country. Once you have won that, you will be invited to take part in the international competition. If you want to enter Mr World, look out for officially sanctioned competitions in your country now!
Who is the Reigning Mr World?
Mr World 2014 is Nicklas Pedersen from Denmark.
A professional carpenter, Nicklas moved to Australia a few years after finishing his apprenticeship. Charismatic and extremely likeable with good looks and an athletic physique, Nicklas was an incredibly strong candidate, winning the Sports Challenge and placing high on each of the other Challenge Events. He was the perfect choice for Mr World 2014.
