What to Know Before You Attend

Dress
The conference attire is business casual. Washington is traditionally hot and humid in late August, but it can also get cool inside some meeting rooms, so plan accordingly.

Conference Materials
To ensure this year’s conference is eco-friendly, conference programs with detailed agendas will be available online in a digital-only program you can access on any personal laptop or device or at workstations throughout the conference venue. Check back soon for more details on the agenda, which will also be available through a special mobile app and displayed on video screens throughout the conference hotel.

Meals
Conference attendees are responsible for their own meals during the conference. While the meeting venue has several food and drink outlets, there are many others within walking distance, and some of the area’s most popular food trucks have already made plans to park outside the hotel during lunch.

Transportation
The conference venue is centrally located in the heart of D.C., and public transportation is the recommended method of getting around. You can check out rail and bus maps, routes and fares at the Metro web site. Be advised that Metro rail is currently undergoing safety upgrades (known as “SafeTrack”), which is leading to delays on some routes.
