MP’s expected to call for Blood Inquiry on Thursday

NINJA NEWS·TUESDAY, 22 NOVEMBER 2016

A debate on the Contaminated Blood Scandal is taking place in the UK House of Commons this Thursday 24th November at 11am.

In addition to increased support, MP’s are expected to be calling for a “Hillsborough style” independent investigation into the scandal following a wave of recently unearthed documents and a damning speech by former Minister of Health, Lord David Owen in September, the former Minister stated “At every stage, the truth has been there and people have evaded it, and that must carry a penalty”.

The most damning evidence centres around medical treatments for Haemophilia called Factor 8 / Factor 9. The drugs were given to patients throughout the late 1970’s and early 1980’s and due to a series of dangerous manufacturing processes and disastrous decision making, thousands of UK victims were infected with Hepatitis C, HIV or both. Thousands have died and to date no compensation has ever been paid.

It seems the medical community agree, in a September interview Prof. Edward Tuddenham who is one of the world leading Hematologists and former Haemophilia Centre Director re-affirmed the sentiments of Lord Owen stating that it looks like part of planned cover-up and that the situation “deserves further investigation”.
